The Kneading Conference West took place September 13-15 in Mt Vernon, WA, and WP Kemper Bakery Systems was happy to participate for the second year in a row. Held at the Washington State University Research and Extension Center, the Kneading Conference West gathers home and professional bakers, farmers, scientists, and anyone interested in hand-crafted breads and pastries, locally grown grains, and the movement to restore regional food systems from across the country for fun and informative workshops.
Michael Eggebrecht led a seminar on Micro-Bakery Design & Equipment, along with a Professional Baking Workshop. There were other workshops on flatbreads, sourdoughs, and even building an earth oven.
In addition to these great seminars and workshops, The Bread Lab at the Mount Vernon Research and Extension Center was open to tours. The Bread Lab is the first public lab in the United States dedicated to craft baking and small-scale grain farming and we are honored that they chose to equip The Bread Lab with our Matador Store 6.8.4 oven and our SP30 Mixer.
We are proud to support the Kneading Conference West and look forward to a great event next year!
