Check out this great letter we received from our friends at New Seasons Market!

Dear Patricia,

I want to thank you and WP Kemper Bakery Systems for our recent experience in purchasing 4 Matador Store ovens and 2 loaders for our 2011 store openings.

I am pleased to say that under very difficult circumstances you and WP Kemper Bakery Systems moved the world to get our ovens here and on time. With many difficult logistical problems, you went the extra mile to make sure our stores were able to open on time with these fantastic ovens.

I am especially appreciative of your care and concern of the timing required for setup and inspection that was needed to finalize these oven installations.

We love to serve our customers and provide them with the best possible bread products they demand from us and we acknowledge you teaming up with us to get that done.

Thanks again,

Dave Kubow

We recently hosted our colleague from WP Bakery Service in Germany, Jörg Stümpflen. Jörg, who is the Head of Customer Care at WP Bakery Service, visited our offices for a week and met with Director of Customer Services, Evelyn Patnaude, and our Director of Product Support and Engineering, Karam Ramnunan.

The purpose of Jörg’s trip was to improve the communication between WP Kemper Bakery Systems, our parent company, and our factories where the machines are manufactured. Since WP Kemper Bakery Systems isn’t a dealer–we’re a wholly owned subsidiary of WP Bakery Group–we’re all working towards the same goals. We want the same result–to improve our customer satisfaction.

Jörg also spent some time explaining the procedures of the factory to Evelyn. “It helped me to understand how their process fits into our process,” Evelyn said.

According to Jörg , proactive service is the key. WP has preventative maintenance plans and offers spare parts kits to customers in Germany. A large part of the discussion was spent on how to implement this plan successfully in the North American market.  ”We can make a plan to go into the bakeries and have preventative maintenance done,” Jörg said, “not only emergency service.”

Switching to a preventative maintenance and spare parts plan would save customers time and money, Karam said. “If a customer’s machine is down today, he needs it up and running today.”

WP Kemper Bakery Systems has recently returned from this year’s IDDBA’s Dairy-Deli-Bake Expo in Anaheim, California.  This marks the third straight year WP has exhibited at this exposition, targeting supermarkets, bakeries and cafés. Working the booth this year was our Vice-President and Director of Industrial Sales, Jim Souza, and our Director of Instore-Food Service, Shawna Goldfarb. During the three day show, Jim and Shawna displayed the WP Shop ovens and described to many attendees how WP can now create full turn-key solutions for both the industrial and food service/in-store markets.

The IDDBA Show also marked the debut of the Superior Tower Oven in the North American Market. The Superior Tower attracted a lot of attention to the booth.  Visitors loved the Superior Tower’s small footprint, dual technology and sexy look. In fact, some of the visitors even said the Superior Tower made them imagine what they could do with this combination deck and convection oven in their own shops!

The WP Kemper Bakery Systems team had a great time at the IDDBA Show, and we look forward to seeing you in New Orleans at IDDBA Dairy-Deli-Bake 2012!
